To achieve academic excellence in various domains of Civil Engineering and to produce human resource to cater to the needs of the infrastructural developments of the country.
M1 :To produce qualified civil engineers by continuously upgrading the infrastructure and also by providing ambiance for achieving excellence in technical education and research.
M2 :To impart knowledge of fundamental principles and to make the students competent in the field of Civil Engineering.
M3 :To cultivate human values and ethics to our graduates.
The Department
The Department of civil engineering was started in the college in the academic year 2005-06 with an intake of 30 students per year and now it has an intake of 120 students per year. It aims to cater to the needs of society for qualified civil engineers with high standards of technical expertise and moral ethics. The department is well equipped in terms of qualified persons and laboratories. The requirements of Anna University are surpassed and there is a continuous improvement and monitoring of the entire infrastructure under the department. Presentation aids as OHP, LCD projectors are well used to reinforce the theory taught with practical instances. The Department Library helps the faculty members to readily access any pertinent literature. The staff members have ready access to the internet. The students can make use of the common computing facility and browsing centers which function exclusively for the students.
The Department offers both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programmes in Civil Engineering.

The B.E Programme has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi.
Program Educational Objectives:
1. To prepare the graduates to solve problems related to Civil Engineering from different scenarios and thereby making them successful in the field of Civil Engineering.
2. To produce employable graduates with the knowledge and competency in civil engineering complemented by the appropriate skills and attributes.
3. To produce innovative graduates with design and soft skills to carry out various problem solving tasks.
4. To enable the graduates to work as teams on multidisciplinary projects with effective communication skills and leadership qualities along with the right attitudes and ethics.
5. To produce graduates who possess interest in research and lifelong learning.
Program Outcomes:
Engineering Graduates will be able to: 1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems
2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
5. Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
6. The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
7. Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
8. Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
9. Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
10. Communication: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
11. Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one's own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.
12. Life-long learning: Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change. 
Program Specific Outcomes:
PSO 1: Ability to   apply acquired core Civil Engineering knowledge to design and construct various optimized structures.
PSO 2: Ability to produce eco-friendly products using by-products of various processes for long term Infrastructure with sustainable development.
